A New Beginning in Beech Hill

There was a new beginning at Beech Hill this Spring.

The church meeting in Beech Hill chapel building ceased functioning in January 2019. At this point Shinfield Baptist Church was invited by the remaining members of the church and the Baptist Union (who are the property trustees) to explore whether, with God, a renewed congregation could be begun in the village. After enjoying a walk in the pleasant countryside and swift pub stop at the lovely Elm Tree, we held our first worship service in the church on the 7 April.

We have very much appreciated the warm welcome and support we have been given by the local community. We look forward to getting to know people further and seeing how we might be a help to the village.

We are looking at holding a service once a month in the afternoon throughout this year. Then depending on how things progress we will look to have more frequent services in 2020.
Shinfield Baptist was itself renewed in 2015 when a team of ten adults and five children were invited from Wycliffe Baptist Church to help the church which was going through difficult times. This renewal has seen the church flourish both in itself and the community so we are excited to see what God may do.

Please watch this space!
